President's Letter:

 Sun Jan 11, 2015 6:50 am (PST)

Merry Christmas!

It's still Christmas week here in Moldova. Next week is old New Year's.
They celebrate two Christmases and two New Year's here. That means it gets
to be one very long holiday. This letter is later than usual because of
that - we've had guests at the house for the past four days. They didn't
leave the house once because, well, Christmas.

Anyway.... I hope everyone had a lovely set of holidays.

Registration for Share a Stitch, the regional seminar, is closing soon.
Think about going! I'd love to go, too.

Our annual audit for 2014 has been finished and our vice president should
be giving a report about it. We need to do one annually, and it's about
time we start thinking of the new one. We also are supposed to review our
bylaws every few years. That is my major administrative goal for 2015.

Our offerings to our members have increased in 2014. We started with
courses other than group correspondence courses, and they've been popular.
We're also looking to do stitch ins this summer. The more members who get
involved with the chapter, the more the chapter can do for members. If
you're not involved in something, think it over! We are also still in need
of a marketing person.

Happy stitching, and I hope you all get involved!
